Homeopathy Awareness Week 2024 – From Patient to Practitioner
Homeopathy Awareness Week (HAW) takes place every year from the 10th April to mark the birthday of the founder of homeopathy, Samuel Hahnemann.

It is an international awareness day, with many countries getting involved to promote homeopathy using social and mainstream media campaigns.

The theme of this year’s campaign was “From Patient to Practitioner”, based on the insight that many people decide to train as homeopaths because of a good outcome as a patient. In many cases, these people have had very different careers before homeopathy, but the majority told us that homeopathy is more satisfying.

We kicked off the campaign with a survey of homeopaths from the UK’s three main registering bodies – The Faculty of Homeopathy, The Society of Homeopaths and the Alliance of Registered Homeopaths. We asked a variety of questions – from what made them first decide to study homeopathy, to their former career and whether they attended any courses for the general public before starting formal training.

The survey gave us some fascinating insights and stories from practising and student homeopaths which we shared on social media throughout the week.

We also shared a summary of the survey results, as well as some useful assets for anyone interested in finding out more about this wonderful form of medicine – a list of courses available to the general public and a list of colleges where homeopathy can be studied formally.
