We are delighted to announce that we are funding a new virtual clinic providing treatment and support to military veterans. The clinic – which launched in February, is run by former solider and homeopath Gabby Arthur.
Every year 15,000 individuals leave the UK military. Whilst the majority make successful transitions into civilian life, a few leave with, or later develop, difficulties. Figures suggest that up to 10% of military personnel could be suffering from a mental health condition.
Gabby understands this only too well having served in the British Army for eight years. She completed tours in Kosovo and Iraq before leaving in 2005 but began to suffer from extreme anxiety when she returned to civilian life. It was whilst looking for treatment that Gabby first came across homeopathy.
Now a fully qualified practitioner and graduate of the Southern School of Homeopathy, Gabby has spent the last decade working in military veteran mental health for the charity, Combat Stress. And more recently she has worked with the NHS.
She is committed to providing support for trauma-related mental health and PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) through her unique blend of homeopathic knowledge and her personal experience of the veteran community.
