Homeopathy UK welcomes three new trustees

We are delighted to announce the appointments of three new trustees to our board – Sato Liu, Roxana Lupu and Emma Dalton.

Sato Liu

Enabling patient access to high-quality homeopathy has been the focus of Sato’s working life for over 40 years. In April 2023, the Society of Homeopaths awarded her with an Honorary Fellowship.

From 1989-2005, Sato was Executive Director of The Natural Medicines Society (NMS) and, until 2020, represented patients on the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Alternative and Complementary Medicine. She was Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Foundation for Traditional Chinese Medicine from 1997 to 2002.

In 1992, Sato initiated and chaired the UK Forum for Alternative and Complementary Medicine and in 2005 she was asked to set up a patient and public involvement group for the Prince’s Foundation for Integrated Health. She then undertook further projects, including a review of the 2000 House of Lords’ report on Complementary and Alternative Medicine. In 2007, she became Campaign Projects Manager for the RLHIM where she stayed until 2016.

She has been involved with the European Federation of Homeopathic Patients’ Associations (EFHPA) since 2010 and was its President from 2019 until 2022.  She currently sits on the board. From 2011 to 2015, she also sat on the Council of the European Committee for Homeopathy (ECH) as a patients’ representative.

Emma Dalton

Emma discovered homeopathy after being very ill at the age of eighteen. She was told she would be on medication for the rest of her life, but after three homeopathic consultations her symptoms cleared and a lifelong interest began.

Emma has a BSc (Hons) in Herbal Medicine from the University of Lincoln, is an AFMCP graduate and holds a Homeopathy Licentiate. Emma was Treasurer and Vice President for the National Institute of Medical Herbalists for several years and remains chair of their parliamentary working group. She also has a PGCE specialising in CAM therapies and lectures on both homeopathy and herbal medicine to undergraduate and qualified professionals.

Emma has run a busy private practice combining herbal medicine, functional medicine, homeopathy, naturopathy and biodynamic craniosacral therapy.

She is currently studying for a MSc in Sustainability, Health and Wellbeing developing deeper research skills whilst looking at the challenges of the current global climate changes on health.

Roxana Lupu

Roxana has a successful career in technology and a passion for promoting homeopathy, which she became interested in after experiencing its healing powers first hand.

She has studied homeopathy extensively and alongside her expertise in tech, is excited to bridge the two disciplines to help bring more compassion into modern medicine. Specifically, Roxanna is interested by the possibilities of using modern technology to raise awareness of – and access to – homeopathic medicine, as well as in the pioneering of new models for integrative care.

By leveraging her tech expertise in service of spreading homeopathic healing, Roxana hopes to create positive transformations in how people see and engage with their health.
