Kate sought help for her infant daughter’s colic

“My daughter started to suffer from colic in the first week of her life. She was very unsettled and fractious and it was incredibly distressing to see her in constant discomfort.

The bouts went on for a few hours at a time, escalating at night. I live with my parents so it was stressful and emotionally draining for the whole household. We were also hugely sleep deprived.

The conventional techniques recommended by health professionals, such as different winding positions, were not working. My mum – a former nurse who had attended a short course about homeopathy – suggested that I made an appointment with Dr Marliese Symons. A homeopathic doctor with many years’ experience, Dr Symons is also experienced and confident treating newborns.

Marliese was so gentle and reassuring during our consultations. She prescribed Dioscorea and Colocynth alongside a chiropractic (cranial) treatment specifically for babies.

The gentle remedies worked beautifully and gave almost immediate relief to the colic symptoms. It was absolutely wonderful to see how quickly my daughter relaxed. I also had the added reassurance of knowing which remedies to use if the symptoms recurred.

The whole experience has had such a positive impact not only on my daughter, but also on me and the rest of my family. I am so very grateful for all that Dr Marliese has done.”
