Homeopathy Research Institute (HRI) is a UK-based charity dedicated to generating and disseminating high quality research in homeopathy at an international level.
HRI works with scientists, doctors and homeopathic clinicians around the world to explore what homeopathy can treat, and how it works, using the most rigorous methods available.
The Institute provides academic expertise and funding to support new studies investigating the potential benefits of homeopathy in the treatment of ‘effectiveness gap’ conditions – those for which existing medical treatments are not sufficiently effective, or have unwanted side-effects.
HRI also works continually to promote accurate communication of the existing scientific evidence base. The Institute’s website is considered the number one resource on the topic worldwide, providing academically sound information on homeopathy research for the public, patients, decision makers, academics and healthcare professionals alike.
With an estimated 32 million people in the UK having used homeopathy in their lifetime (49% of the population), the need for more research into this emerging medicine is clear. The HRI team is committed to continuing such work, based on the core belief that the boundaries of science deserve exploration and that it is essential to fully explore the potential role homeopathy could play, used alongside conventional medicine, in the future of an integrated approach to healthcare.
