Michelle sought help for a chronic cough

“In 2020, I suddenly developed a persistent cough.  My dad had recently been diagnosed with dementia and I’d contracted Covid a few times travelling to and from Malta.

My mother had died four years earlier and suddenly it felt that any stress I experienced went straight onto my chest. I was also suffering from headaches.

As time went on, the cough and headaches worsened to the point where I couldn’t manage daily tasks. I also felt unable to cope with family stress and with four children at home, this was becoming a real issue.

Tests and x-rays on my lungs and throat were normal, so my GP offered me a steroid inhaler, but I wanted to use something more natural that didn’t have side effects. I had some experience of homeopathy, so I booked an appointment with homeopath Dr Marliese Symons in April 2023.

The homeopathic consultancy was much more detailed and in-depth than the one with my GP.  The whole approach was more holistic and didn’t just focus on my symptoms.

Over the course of four sessions, Marliese looked at how my body coped with stress and bereavement. I learnt that in times of stress, my chest tightens which results in coughing.

Marliese prescribed Nat Mur in various potencies which helped to relieve the cough until it disappeared completely. I also learned to recognise my own stress triggers and now have the tools to manage my symptoms.

I am so impressed that Marliese is now treating my son’s chronic eczema, asthma and insomnia.

Homeopathy is a natural form of medicine, and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to take a more holistic approach to their health.”
